Mastered Skills (most kids can do)
- Turns toward sounds and voices - Very much! Kepo...
- Imitates sounds, blows bubbles - lol... lots of it!
- Rolls in both directions - yeah.. roll, turn & climb!
Emerging Skills (half of kids can do)
- Reaches for objects and mouths them - hah! Sumer nak masuk mulut!
- Sits without support - He's already an expert at this!
- Is ready for solids - Just put it in front of him... Now you see, then you don't!
Advanced Skills (a few kids can do)
- May lunge forward or start crawling - One moment he's crawling, and the next moment he'll be standing, holding on to the tv console.
- May jabber or combine syllables - The only words he can pronounce are Mama & Ayah. Cool!
- May drag object toward himself - Bersungguh2 kalau nakkan sesuatu tu!
And now,
we are looking forward to his next achievement.

has turned into a fussy eater.
Just like his Ayah!
He no longer wants to be fed
Dumex Nutrakids Cereal.
Not even when we added
flavours in the cereal.
Now
he insists on
adult food!
Rice (as in porridge),
with fish, roots, & veg!
And
he drinks water
from a cup,
not bottle!
heh
Uwaaahhhh!!!
My boy has grown
Soo fast, Too fast!!
Neway,
we bought him some
'adult utensils'.
Enjoy your food, baby!

Motor Skills
Thanks to this book,
Here's what I've just discovered:-
Dumping things out of containers and then putting them back in again
is a favourite sport of
babies who have learned to sit up and use their hands.
Wherever he is in the house,
your baby will probably find something to empty & fill.
And while he will be happy to
empty out the contents of your wastebaskets or cupboards
all morning long,
you can let him play a cleaner and more baby-friendly
putting-in and taking-out
game by giving him a
wide-mouthed, gallon-sized plastic jar, a large plastic storage container,
or even a large stainless steel bowl
of his own.
Fill the container with items such as
measuring cups, plastic bowls, blocks and small plush toys.
Then sit alongside him and help him
fill and dump the container a few times.
He will soon be busily doing the job on his own-
over and over again.

SKILL SPOTLIGHT
Besides entertaining the baby,
dumping and filling containers teaches him about
the relative sizes, shapes and weights of various objects.
It also introduces him to spatial concepts such as
big & small,
and
empty & full.
Dumping out items and putting them back
exercises both
fine and gross motor skills.

has been such a breeze

to the almost-dead
Ten Mile Junction.
Keerook & I,
who has always been an
avid fan of
Sheng Siong Supermart,
would never fail to
pay homage to the
store
be it for our
weekly groceries shopping
or just for dos
nitty gritty stuff!
Neway,
on one fateful nite,
the 3 of us,
him, being the smallest shopper
embark on
from
Bangkit LRT Station
to
TenMile Junction LRT Station
for
groceries
at
Sheng Siong Supermart.
We were greeted by
in the train.
Aye,
we're doing
groceries shopping together.....
Okay,
cut the story short!
Almost 2hours later,
we emerged from the store with this in tow!
Our end result!
hehe...
We sure had lotsa fun!

so much so that
he fell asleep
just by staring at it!

make it a point

single millisecond we have left

Lil' Angel....
Just watching
him play, his facial expression,
his shrieks,
is enuff to take the
stress away....
Its Priceless! Period.
We've been keeping a

watch on

since he started
crawling
a month ago,
and started
climbing
a week ago...
