Mikhail, My Heart, My Soul....
I remembered on one occasion....
as Keerook rocked
in his arms,
he made a passing remark,
"Gone are the days when Mika's as quiet as this!"
I turned and look at Mika,
who was busy in his own world.
Doing God-knows-how-many-laps-already rounds of shuttle runs in the house,
and
From climbing the sub-woofer, just to touch the table lamp on the teevee console,
to
climbing the chair just to sit on the dining table, to 'see what goodies he can chew"
even when he knows he's not supposed to do it.
Told Mika, "you were once this small...
Tiny fingers, tiny feet..... and all, y'know!"
Mika hates it now, whenever I rocked him like a baby!
Right hand on his head, left hand on his butt,
Swaying Right to Left, eft To Right....
He'll giggle for a second or two, at most,
then demanded to be put down!
It was easier before....
As if he doesnt care how you held him,
so long he's in your arms!
Even back then,
he doesn't conquer the whole bed
when he sleeps at nite!
Now,
he even pushes me to the edge,
I almost fell!
*sigh*
How time flies so fast....
I know... I know.....
I can bitch, I can whine,
till the cows come home....
But I can't turn back the blardee clock.
But what I can do is,
Appreciate all I've got,
enjoy all I want,
make fullest use of whatever time I have
with Mika now.
Coz,
if I dont do it now,
before I know it,
I'll be busy running around, buying his
stationaries, books & school uniforms!
Tsk!
And like Keerook said,
"I dun mind Mika being hyperactive.
At least I know he's healthy, responsive, active & strong....
I'll get worried if he just sits down and not move around."

IFTAR BERSAMA PENGHUNI DARUL MA'WA
on 15th October 2005

this holy month of Ramadhan.
Fee : Adult - $12 per head
Child - $5 per head (Below 12years old)
Other forms of contributions are greatly welcomed.

Abah always make it a point that if
you have no business to come back late,
you jolly well reach home
latest by 6.30pm to
iftar together as a family,
every Ramadhan....
But when
two got married & left the household,
one had just joined the workforce & has to do shift duties,
time to iftar together as one big family became very scarce.
As I put it in my own words,
"You have to make an appoinment first, before you get to iftar together."
True. Vair True.
Sucks, but true!
I'm glad....
We made it this time!

An unexpected phone call at 4pm
jolted me off my chair.
Must be keerook, so I thought
But nay....
it was a call,
a call inviting me out for a shopping spree.....
Wheeeee......
Left home immediately,
after the fone conversation.
From Causeway Point to Jurong Point.
Huge damage done on Tok Abah's wallet.
All for his beloved
One & Only ChuChu....
Nie baru 1yr old.... Blom 2yrs old lagik....,
Tok Abah commented while we're at the cashier.
2yrs ol nanti mesti double2 kan, Abah kan Kan Kan?
And knowing my dad, he won't rest
till he get to buy dat Harley Davidson for Mika!
Soon eh, Abah..... Sabar, iyerrr.....

Things grandparents do for their cucus....
On a lighter note,
it was fun being able to go shopping again, with my
parents & sisters,
after quite some time...
It does some bonding goodness...
To Tok Abah & Nenek....

TEQUADOR
First, you need these.....
3measures tequila ~ substitute with 7-Up
4measures pineapple juice
dash lime juice
Crushed ice
Splash of grenadine
Crushed Ice
Shake the first three ingredients together and pour the mix over crushed ice.
Splash with grenadine and serve with straws.
* A sugar frosted glass suits this cocktail, which can also be garnished with a pineapple chunk.
Serve on a Hot Hot day!
