(I like pisang monyet! Soft, it just melts in your mouth!)
Popiah skin

Spread the popiah skin.
Place the banana.
Sprinkle some sugar.
You can choose to put the whole banana, or you may slice into 2.
Up to your desired preferences.
Roll the skin.
Deep fry!
Strain, and roll immediately on a plate of sugar.
(I usually omit this part)
* What I did was I melted some sugar on the grill pan....
Gelek2 the popiah on the grill pan...

So I put
Lil' Mikhail
on the
E-G-G CHALLENGE
Doctor told me, "Give him egg white"
Majority said, "No, its egg yolk, lah!"
Sara said, "Egg yolk lah, dear!"
Okay, so egg yolk it gonna be then!
1 hard boiled egg.
Split it open, just take the hard yolk.
And pop the egg white into Mama's mouth!
Feed Mika his
pureed-porridge topped with egg yolk.
Clever Boy, Mama's Boy!
Finished the whole bowl of porridge with egg yolk.
Time to check for allergy symptoms.
Rashes? None!
Swells? None!
Alhamdulillah......
After 2 days of feeding him eggs,
I could heave a sigh of relief.
No adverse reactions
on my darling.
No allergy of whatsoever.

Soup For The Lil Soul
I've always enjoyed cooking for my loved ones....
And eversince
Lil' Mikhail
has learnt to eat solids,
I'm always looking forward to weekends.
To cook,
not only for
Keerook.....
But for
Lil' Angel,
as well!
You see.....,
I don't feed Lil' Meekster leftovers....
Only freshly cooked delicacies
are allowed to go into his growing tummy!
Which is why,
on the days dat I have to work,
Mum does the cooking for him.
Thus,
I really treasure and make full use of every
single opportunity I was granted,
to prepare & serve
Mika's Gourmet .
Its a breeze cooking for
this lil' un, y'know!
Its fun too, coz
I get to experiment with lots of stuff
& just put in anything....
Besides, it only takes less than 10mins!
Alrite, for a start,
here's one that
Lil' Angel
truly loved!
Stir fry ikan bilis halus in olive oil.
Pour in 2 glasses of water.
Throw in the fish filets
(Be careful... make sure no bones, okay)
Bring to boil.
Add potatoes, carrots, egg tofu
Lastly, add spinach
(Just the leaves)
Dats all!
Scoop some rice into the blender mill.
Scoop the soup in as well.
Blend well.
Tah-dah!

A healthy Baby, Mika is....
Took
Lil' Meekster
to CCK Polyclinic
for his 9th month developmental assessment
earlier dis afternoon.
Alhamdulillah....
Lil' Meekster
is now standing @ 67cm,
weighing a mere 7.87kg.
Despite being categorised a small baby,
having fall under 50% percentile,
everything else was fine.
A healthy baby....
Responsive & Alert
And all dat matters!
So now, the biggest challenge for
Lil' Mika
is the
E-G-G
1 hard-boiled egg (just the white),
chopped & added to his porridge.
To be given twice a week!
And watch out for
allergy symptoms such as
swells and/or rashes and the likes.
Orait!
Will do!
Finished everthing within an hour.
A healthy & obedient baby
deserves a reward;
rite, everibodi?
Besides, it's such a waste if we were to go home straight.
I mean, being the off peak hour & such,
where malls & roads are still less hectic & busy with
jaywalkers & engines alike,
it is, indeed,
a good time to hit the streets,
doncha think so?
Besides,
this time round,
we can afford to,
for obvious reasons.
Reasons, you may ask?
Its just a medical check up,
NO immunisation!
Kalo kena jab, memang terang2 kena balik straight!
Not even to kedai!
So off we went, to
HarbourFront.
So much difference from the last time
we stepped into the building
in 2003.
Such a drastic change!

Garlic Bread for dinner
Speaking of recycling the leftovers.....
I still gotta some french loaves in the bread basket!
Knowing Keerook,
he wouldn't want me to serve
rice again....
Not for another week or so....
Then my french loaves?
Nak buat jemput2, dun feel like eating jemput2....
Nak buat pizza, takder cheese!
Something so-very-the-simple!
A no-brainer, no-effort munch I can feed
Keerook!
Spread butter evenly on the slices....
Sprinkle minced garlic.
Sage, chopped parsley, oregano, basil.
Nak add parmesan cheese, pun bleh,
Bedal ajer lah, aper nak taruk!
Toast in oven for a couple of minutes!
Jadi pun!
Garlic Bread!
Keerook finished a whole loaf all by himself!

I go by the recipe book.
Yes, kalau ikut resepi saper tak bleh buat!
Jadi mesti jadi punyer, kan kan kan?
But we find it too bland for our liking.
Too bland and too un-spicy for our tastebud.
Even I don't have the heart to send it to
the Gurus...

Salvage the
Chicken & Potatoes.....
Tumis 5 sudu makan lada kisar, gajus(blend)
hingga garing & naik minyak.
Tuang tomato ketchup.
Tumis...
Tuang air sikit...
Masukkan ayam & kentang.
Gaul rata. Cukupkan rasa
Didihkan.
Masukkan hirisan bawang merah & lada merah.
VOILA!
Ayam Masak Merah
Baru bleh tertelan tekak nie!
Baru Keerook makan bertambah2....
No need to add bahan2 lain.....

*Bahan2 kisar*

8 biji buah keras
15biji bawang kecil
2 ulas bawang putih
5 btg serai- hiris
3 biji lada merah
2.5cm lengkuas
-Peraturan-
Perapkan ayam dengan ramuan yg telah dikisar
Panaskan minyak. Tumis biji sawi.
Masukkan ayam & tumis hingga garing & wangi.
Tuang air.
Masukkan kentang & bawang
Masak hingga empuk.
