Extra Beef, Extra Chili, Extra Time Please...

Keerook had numerously insisted that

I take time off for myself,

just to relax and let off some steam

break away from my chores & routine

for a moment.

"Go out with your girlfriends, lah!

Shopping, go for a nice meal, movies or anything!" He shooed!

After much contemplating,

and no thanks to the hard nudges &

excessive persuasion-till-my-earwax melted,

I decided to go ahead with the

anomaly known as the

Laydees Day Out!

Okay....

But for the 1st time,

it wont be anything fancy of such!

"Anything lah, just take the time-out! As long as it makes you happy.."

He insisted... again

"Just enjoy yourself. Don't worry about things at home!"

Yeah, Rite!

Still,

strode past the prison gate

I did,

swinging my black&white handbag,

walked to the nearest bus stop,

hopped onto the bus

and head to Clementi Ave 3

for a nice hot bowl of

with lots of chili padi!

*Slurp*

He was right!

Its been ages since I last got to

slurp my favourite kway teow,

with its generous beef cubes & tetelans,

without

having the lil' munchkin vying for my attention!

Without

having to stop and feed a strand or two

of the super yummy rice noodle to the toddler.

Without

having to share my oh-so-evil delicacy!

Not that I never appreciate him being around me, of course...

but just for that moment

it was a much needed breath of fresh air..

Besides,

No kid in tow means,

I can put as much

chilli flakes, cili padi, cili jeruk,

as I desire, without sparing another thought!

*Slurp!*

Enuff of the

damn-hot-sampai-meleleh-hingus-aku noodle orgy.

With the sun scorching,

at its fullest glory right above our heads,

SHE decided that the best place to

'sit and continue yakking'

is none other than McDees.

Its airconditioned, dats y!

Pathetic?

I dont think so!

We yakked and yakked

till the cows come home.

At the end of the day,

it was indeed,

time well spent with a good friend,

Blah-blah-ing &

catching up on lost times.

And most important,

I felt refreshed!

Really!

Went home light hearted &

all ready to resume my

domestic roles.

I must do more of this!
